Circuit Civil Mediation

Senior Partner John Jopling recently achieved Supreme Court certification as circuit civil mediator. As a mediator, John brings more than three and a half decades of experience as a civil litigator and frequent party to mediation of complex, multi-party matters.

As defined by Florida Law and Administrative Rule, mediation is an informal and non-adversarial process with the objective of helping the disputing parties reaching mutually acceptable and voluntary agreement. The mediator is a neutral and impartial third person who acts to encourage and facilitate the resolution of a dispute without prescribing what that resolution should be.

In Florida, virtually all civil lawsuits are required to go through mediation in an effort to resolve the cases without the stress and expense of trial. Over the decades since its implementation in Florida, mediation has proved to be a usually successful and cost-efficient method of alternative dispute resolution, often resolving even very complex, emotional, and hotly contested matters of civil litigation.

The Dell Salter firm offers its own facilities at 203 NE 1st Street for the conduct of mediation or travel to a convenient location which the parties may require.
