Ms. Lester is a partner with the firm and is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization. With more than 20 years of experience, Ms. Lester’s practice involves commercial litigation, personal injury, wrongful death and fiduciary litigation. Ms. Lester’s background in civil litigation and insurance gives her special insight into insurance fraud cases, estate and trust litigation and professional malpractice cases. She is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, and was recognized as a member of Florida Trend’s Legal Elite for 2015.
Additionally, Ms. Lester is the immediate past president of the North Florida Chapter of American Board of Trial Advocates, past president of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association and past president of the EJCBA Young Lawyers Division. She has served on Bench and Bar Committee and is a member of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the Treasurer of the Bennett Inn of Court. Ms. Lester is a certified Guardian Ad Litem and performs pro bono services for the Eighth Circuit Court Guardian Ad Litem program.
Ms. Lester graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law with honors in 1992 after serving as a teaching assistant in Legal Research and Writing, and receiving Book Awards in Property and Civil Procedure. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Florida in 1989 with a Minor in Criminology and Law.
Ms. Lester has served as moderator of a seminar entitled, As Judges See It: Top Mistakes Attorneys Make in Civil Litigation, in 2012 and 2013. She was honored to be a presenter at the ABOTA Masters in Trial Series offered by the Northern District of Florida and the Tallahassee Chapter of ABOTA in 2013. She is also an approved instructor for insurance adjuster continuing education credits, and an adjunct professor of Trial Practice at the University of Florida College of Law. In the past, she served as an adjunct professor in Mediation Law.
